SERVICES

Are you interested in organizing English lessons for yourself, your friends, a group or a company? If so, get in contact at info@kultivar.hu for rates.

Our lessons are fair-priced and communicative, with a focus on practical English for real life situations. Our teachers have long-standing experience working in companies and schools, and with every age group and level.

With your support, we can move forward with the kultiVár project and establish a space for both authentic language practice and community building in Budapest.

What will the community space offer?

What is ESP? What sort of workshops and courses will be offered?

English for Specific Purposes, or ESP, is about learning English for real world application. As a community center, we want to provide workshops where residents can learn useful skills that better their own lives and the district as a whole. DIY skills for home improvement projects and utilities maintenance, cooking, gardening, writing a good CV, etc. The themes for workshops are limitless, and we will develop them based on community input and requests.

Aside from general English courses, we will offer specialized ones where people can learn about a specific topic (e.g. biology, law, theatre, arts, architecture) with both locals and visiting professionals.

Why tutoring/mentoring?

School is not a one-size-fits-all model, yet many students who struggle academically wrongly take that struggle as a failure on their part. We believe that supplementary attention from tutors can alleviate that misconception and help them develop intellectual confidence. A tutoring center is a place where kids can come after school for additional help and, in doing so, can go home with their schoolwork finished and with the knowledge that they’ve done it well. We hope this will help free up their evenings and promote more quality time with their family.
