ABOUT US
kultiVár is the core project of Angol Kollektíva a Közösségért (The English Collective for the Community), a registered association of Hungarian, American, and British English teachers seeking to open an ESL focused community center in Budapest. That community center is kultiVár. Our goal is to provide a space for people of all ages who want to develop their English, and particularly for those who don’t otherwise have access to such a service. kultiVár is a place where both young learners and adults can be in an immersive English environment and practice the language at their own pace, without the pressure of standardizing textbooks or tests. We want to have something to offer all age groups and demographics in the district. We seek to engage with stay-at-home parents, the unemployed, workers after work, students after school, pensioners, non-Hungarians living in the neighborhood, local businesses, and anyone else who’s part of the community.
